Default San Juan

Applications for permits for floating the San Juan River on any segment between Montezuma Creek and Clay Hills Crossing, in Utah during the 2009 season are now available for downloading through the Internet.

The applications are available at http://www.blm.gov/ut/st/en/fo/monti...ecreation.html.

The application consists of two pages: the first page is an information sheet and the second page is the application form. Completed applications must be mailed to the Monticello Field Office, P. O. Box 7, Monticello, Utah 84535. Applications are being accepted now; anyone who wants to be included in the lottery for trips between April 1 and Oct. 31 must submit an application no later than Jan. 30.

Applications for March dates are issued on a first-come-first-served basis beginning Jan. 1, and will not be accepted before that date.
